Comments :  When my "baby turtle" (now named Squirtles) had a cloacal prolapse I quickly found out that Dr Bolt is the ONLY veterinarian in the southeast that knows how to take care of turtles. He is the most compassionate vet I have ever known. He calls Squirtles "sweetheart" which she responds well to since I call her that as well and he even picked her up at the local vet hospital and brought her to his home at 11 pm on a sunday night to observe her overnight when she had started to decline. Of course, under his care, she is again thriving and very healthy. She loves to see him even after he has had to operate on her a few times. I also bring my kitten to him and he and all the staff are wonderful and it shows how much they care and I appreciate them all so much!

Comments :  When I got my first feathered kid, friends with birds/parrots told me the ONLY vet to go to was Dr. Bolt.....they were right. Dr. Bolt and staff are so very patient and caring. I have asked endless questions which have been patiently answered. All 3 of my babies are well cared for from just nails and wings to physicals/well checks. With 100% confidence, I would (and have) recommeneded Dr. Bolt and his wonderful staff.

Comments :  I found Dr. Bolt in 1995 after I had adopted a bird and needed a full service vet for both him and my Pomeranian. Dr. Bolt and his wife, Nell, had recently opened the Sweeten Creek Animal and Bird Hospital, and we were some of their first patients. When my Pomeranian suddenly became critically ill and had to be euthanized, Dr. Bolt allowed me to visit with her until midnight, and then to hold her in my arms when she was put to sleep. I'll NEVER forget their caring and compassion they showed me during that heart-wrenching experience. Dr. Bolt is now my German Shepherd's vet, and I continue tell anyone looking for a good vet about Sweeten Creek Animal and Bird Hospital. If you're looking for excellent vet care with compassion, look no further!
